Exclusive Screening: And She Could be Next

Exclusive Screening: And She Could be Next

The VinoKarma Project brings you a virtual screening of the documentary, And She Could Be Nextwhich tells the story of a defiant group of women of color—candidates and organizers—who are transforming politics from the ground up. Filmed throughout 2018 and into 2019, by a team of women filmmakers of color, the two-part miniseries features a dynamic slate of history-makers. And She Could Be Next asks whether democracy itself can be preserved—and made stronger—by those most marginalized.

We are witnessing America at a crossroads. From the impact of COVID-19 to uprisings in response to ongoing police brutality, the stark racial disparities in our country are more painfully evident than ever. Conversations about what effective leadership looks like and the importance of getting hands-on with our democracy have never been more relevant.

We will kick off the evening with a wine tasting where we will showcase the wines of The McBride Sisters, Robin and Andréa. Part of our mission at The VinoKarma Project is to support winemakers of color and those who are underrepresented in the wine industry.
